While in remote Southwest Alaska, you will experience four of Bristol Bay's premiere locations: The Naknek River, The Kvichak River, Contact Creek & Katmai National Park/Brooks Fall. The Naknek River offers world-class angling opportunities at trophy rainbow trout, arctic char, grayling, northern pike, lake trout, dolly varden and all 5 species of salmon including kings, silvers, sockeye, chum, and pinks. The Kvichak River is known to have the largest rainbow trout in the world. When you consider that these trout can exceed 30 inches and 20 pounds, and are still capable of such aerobatics, you realize how incredible these fish are. All 5 species of salmon including kings, silvers, sockeye, chum, and pinks are also available at certain times of the season. Located in Katmai National Forest , Contact Creek offers world-class fishing for several species including Kings, Chums, Sockeyes, Grayling, Rainbow Trout and Char. The wildlife and scenery you will experience will make this trip one of the most memorable experiences of your life. Snowcapped mountains, vast tundra and the resident grizzly bear population are just a few of the reasons that make this such a special place to visit. While visiting Brooks Fall, located in the world- famous Katmai National Park , you will experience wildlife that will take your breath away. Brooks Fall is world renowned for the incredible brown bear viewing opportunities. The majority of the TV programs featuring Grizzly bears in Alaska were filmed in Brooks fall. An additional option while visiting Brooks Fall is to take a guided bus tour in the Valley of 10,000 smokes. The Valley of 10,000 Smokes is the site of the world's largest volcanic eruption this century. The plane ride into these locations is worth the cost alone. The Bristol Bay region offers some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Make sure you bring lots of film!!!
